Interested in some ancient, pre-Nintendo Force publishing history? Lucas began work on "Eight Bit Era" in 2006, planning an entire series of NES retrospective books. But after this first one was published, he was offered a job at IGN, and his games journalism career went in a different direction! So this series never really became a series at all, as Volume Two never did get made.
But hey, Volume One still exists as an interesting artifact to look back upon! It's a little unrefined by today's standards, but it got Lucas a job way back when, so it's impressive for its time!
